Like that you don't like who you are when you're around that person, or you find yourself feeling drained every time you're together, rather than rejuvenated. Or maybe you find that you don't really want the best for them, or you don't really trust them. Or maybe they're bringing you down so much that you worry they're not good for your health! It's often so hard for us to let go, though.. because we feel so guilty. Loyalty is a powerful thing!Andrea Boniorhttp://www.thefriendshipfix.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1001156153899984046.post-66225802185890862332011-05-24T14:43:04.327-04:002011-05-24T14:43:04.327-04:00What makes a friend too "toxic" to try t...What makes a friend too "toxic" to try to hold onto? Especially for younger women who are still working this stuff out.

I have to say that once I had children, my MO was not to place any additional demands on my friends and not hang around with anyone who was too demanding.

But I think friendships change as we age and mature - but I bet that's in your book!Jan Broganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11323983086318138814noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1001156153899984046.post-59489506631424543462011-05-24T13:51:21.123-04:002011-05-24T13:51:21.123-04:00What an interesting post today--one I think I'...What an interesting post today--one I think I'll be mulling over. I have had to learn to give toxic friendships the boot. Difficult, but once that lesson is learned it sticks, I think.

I know what I need to work on is letting friends know on a regular basis just how important they are in my life.Debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11519514786198185277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1001156153899984046.post-43268541724454396402011-05-24T13:07:26.541-04:002011-05-24T13:07:26.541-04:00Thank you!
