Hi, Marjorie! So love hearing from you--I grew up in LIncolnwood, where there was NO ONE, I mean, it was cornfields. I guess it has changed!

DeleteMargo, I use my name. Live in a small area (not even big enough to be a town – 5 houses) called Catalone Gut, Nova Scotia Canada. Love to garden, sort-of cook, live in the moment and raise Monarch butterflies. Read only audio or e-books – can’t see, but it also means they are playing all day. Have 9 cats, and one dog – currently called S’not My Dog as he had a haircut and the cats can’t recognize him. Just finished Vicki Delany’s O Deadly Night as an ebook,, and started Julia’s Out of the Deep I Cry as an audio where we are introduced to Kevin – so as I refresh the series, I sure hope we hear of him in the newest book.
ReplyDeleteThis group is so interesting, so friendly, and so supportive of us all!
Your life is entirely fascinating, every single bit!
DeleteI'm Kay and I live in Central Texas not far from the Austin area. I am honored to say that I have met most of you Reds in person (not all, but one day perhaps) at mystery conferences or author events. Went to one for Jenn recently when my husband and I were in Phoenix. Enjoyed hearing her and her event partner, Jill Beissel, at the Poisoned Pen (of course!). I also attended another event at the Pen later in the week and am now reading WHAT DARKNESS DOES, the latest book by Jennifer Graeser Dornbush. Enjoying it very much. That second event had Jennifer and Noelle Ihli sharing about their writing. I read this blog every day, but it's been a while since I commented. Will try to do more of that in the future. Thank you, Reds, for providing all of us such a fun place to visit each day!

ReplyDeletegood morning. I’m Milli from Los Angeles. I have occasionally commented on the daily post, but I do love reading Jungle Red right after I do Spelling Bee. I just started Rhys Bowen’s latest. I’m late to the party on Lucy Burdette’s Key West books, so I’m catching up by reading one every third book. I’m up to book 8.

ReplyDeleteGood day, Reds and Others: I'm Lenita Virtue, I live in the San Fernando Valley, California, I'll be 93 on November 26, and I've lurked every day since JRW began, sometimes commenting. I just finished reading "Kills Well With Others" by Deanna Raybourn, and have started the long-awaited "At Midnight Comes the Cry." Oh happy day!
ReplyDeleteHi, I’m Jeanne Sartain and I live in Arcadia, Ok. I started reading the blog because I am a fan of Deborah Crombie and her Kinkaid series. I love mysteries and London. Right now I am reading WeThree Queens by Rhys Bowen, another of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteHi -- I'm Maury Mechanick in Chevy Chase, MD, sometimes known on another blog at WTAFP (reference to my dogs, past and present, Wookie, Teddy Roosevelt Ruff Rider and Franklin Delano). I am currently reading Mrs. Plansky Goes Rogue by Spencer Quinn, but I have a long list of books to read behind it, including the most recent ones from you Hank, Julia, Laurie King, and S. A. Cosby (a bit of diversity in styles there). Also my wife and I are jointly reading from Cradle to Grave.
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm Maggie, and I live on the beautiful Oregon coast just south of Lincoln City. I occasionally comment, but have been reading the blog daily for five or six years. I finished Julia's wonderful At Midnight Comes the Cry yesterday (so worth the wait!) and immediately started Rhys's From Cradle to Grave. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteWell, for me it's 22 November as I live in Melbourne, Australia. My name is Maren and I discovered this blog not so very long ago. I am currently reading The Fortnight in September by RC Sherrif and A Silence in Belgrave Square by Jennifer Ashley.
