I couldn’t resist.

I love the fall colors, bonfires, comfy clothes and football. 😁 I love fudge, any kind but peanut butter is my absolute favorite. The fudge stores on Mackinac have the best. I’m going over there this weekend and I’ll have to stock up on some. I used to live in the bay area , Ca and moved to Iowa 18 years ago and I love fall as the leaves turn and the best road trip it to drive to Wi or Il and look at all the trees and all the colors they are. Also My granddaughter is to be born in beg of Oct then her sisters b-day will be right after then my son their dad is end of Nov sometimes on Turkey Day. Even though they live in Ca I get the call when their mom goes into labor then they leave me on the phone so I can be in the room although I am thousands of miles away. Also I love all the fall flowers that are out and the excitement of the cards that we send to 17 kids when it is Halloween. I also love fall as I have a disease that I have been fighting for 30 plus years and since the weather is cooler so is the pain less although i fight it as it is all throughout the body including badly cripppled fingers . Then the best thing is that the farmers are done with all their fertilizing and the fall smells come thru and it is wonderful as we live at the top of the hill by ourselves with farms in the distance! It was always the last stop before we went home. Since I'm allergic to walnuts we would get one half pound block of chocolate with nuts and one plain chocolate without. I haven't been to the fair for a couple of years but last time I went there was a different vendor selling fudge, it just wouldn't have been the same so we went without that year.

Our local apples are done in August so I am more of a pumpkins, gourds and hard squash person in the Fall. I have a recipe for stuffed pumpkin. It takes some time to create it but it's fun to pull out for a crowd every once in awhile.

I've been told that we really don't have Fall around here mainly because our deciduous trees don't get the snap of cold to cause the rapid color change plus we don't have a lot of those nice maples. We do have a unique scent. When it's Fall the crush is on. You can smell freshly squeezed grapes just starting to ferment all along the valleys and unique back roads and more rural highways. That scent says Fall for me.

Deana Dalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09093854261937772980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1001156153899984046.post-10446078208616080092019-09-22T20:29:36.499-04:002019-09-22T20:29:36.499-04:00I love the cooler temperatures, and Football!
