P.S. Does anyone want to attempt to make a Christmas tree from books? I can only imagine what my 5 cats would do to it. Eep!

Joyeux NΓΆel, everyone!

I’m enjoying a raspberry pink sunrise outside my bedroom window and thinking luckily we are all to have this beautiful world… Merry Christmas, praying for a peaceful new year.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to all!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas everyone !
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas all! We're so glad you're here!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! I'm so grateful for this community. We are turning towards the light in the physical world, may it be so in our human systems as well.
ReplyDeleteThe merriest of Christmases - or a quiet day off, depending! (And thank you all for your support yesterday after my too-honest outpouring. All is well with my boy and his wife - we had a sweet porch visit exchanging gifts yesterday and will have a pandemic-style zoom opening session later today.)
ReplyDeleteThat's a relief. I was thinking about you last night, and wondering how you were doing. There is a lot of sickness, including Covid, going around right now. It's probably wise for the expectant mom to be careful.
DeleteEdith, I’m happy to hear you were able to see your son and d-i-l yesterday. I, too, was thinking about you yesterday. Have a joyful day today and know you have another grandchild waiting for you to meet soon. Hugs, Pat S
DeleteI would love to attempt a Book Tree, but would it stay that way forever, would the books ever go back on the shelves, and wouldn’t it be a book on the bottom level you just had to have? ππ
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to all of you, and thank you for this blog and this community! May 2026 bring us many new books and authors to read, the end of anyone’s writer’s block, and only good craziness and mysteries! Cheers π₯
A local library does this every year. It’s always seemed religious to me. If I remember correctly- I haven’t seen it yet this year - the books are taken apart - before being stacked up.

Happy Holidays to everyone. I might try a mini, table-top version of one of these next year. It’s cute but I don’t have the wherewithal to do a floor-model version.
ReplyDeleteBlessings of the season to one and all with special thanks for this wonderful community! -- Victoria
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Hanukkah (however you spell it), Kwanzaa, Eid, Winter Solstice, Hogswatch, Feast Day of Anastasia of Sirmium, Tulsi Puljan Diwas, Quaid-e-Azam's Day, Irish McCalla Birthday, or whatever else you may individually or jointly celebrate! May the coming year bring you all peace, joy, comfort, royalties, ever-expanding sales, and the unbounded adulation of millions and millions of gibbering mystery fans worldwide.
ReplyDeleteWe have a tiny bit of snow—and SO MUCH love for you all!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh ho ho ho that was me! We have a tiny bit of snow—and SO MUCH love for you all!
ReplyDeleteTo all the female Santas who are tired this morning, I salute you. And hope your efforts are appreciated, and reciprocated.
ReplyDeleteMerry, happy to you all!
Merry Christmas to all! Wishing you peace of heart now and in the coming year!
ReplyDeleteAs for the book tower? Hahahahahaha...five cats here, too, one of which is currently lying across my arm as I attempt to type this!
Jenn I just read your Substack "Happy Holiday Readers" dated today. What a poignant, beautiful and hilarious remembrance of a Christmas gone wrong, but right in the years gone by.

DeleteMerry Christmas! I don't think I have the patience to make a book tree. Although I think Koda would leave it alone. He doesn't much care about anything inedible. LOL
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and all the blessings of the season to you all!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to all here! Wishing each of you and wonderful, happy, peaceful holiday season.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Reds and Readers. Hard no on the Christmas tree of books. I'm quite content to admire the efforts of others.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas all. The book tree might work here. This year I'm using the cat tree for gifts. Callie doesn't reside there much and hasn't noticed.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Happy Kwanza (and if I didn’t already say this awhile ago, Happy Hanukkah) to all. Thank you all, Reds and Readers alike, for this wonderful community. I wish for all of us a saner, peaceful and kind 2026 filled with good health, good books, good friends and good food. — Pat S
