"Oh, Kaye!" sends a postcard from Paris

There must be a million quotes about Paris.  About its beauty, its sense of mystery and glamour. It's earned each and every one of those quotes, including Audrey Hepburn's "Paris is always a good idea."

But Allen Ginsberg summed it up pretty nicely, I think - - -

"You can't escape the past in Paris, and yet what's so wonderful about it is that the past and present intermingle so intangibly that it doesn't seem to burden."

It doesn't seem to burden at all, in fact, it's perfect.

And here's another little quote I love - "Dreams do come true."

  4. I was just in Montreal, hoping to get a little bit of a Paris fix. It wasn't to be. Maybe this spring we can go to France with a side trip to England where I haven't been in 18 years. If you're still in Paris by then, and why not, I'll look you up!

    Tout à l'heure mon amie

  6. Hi, everyone! Home from Paris now. Tired, exhilarated and a very happy girl to have finally seen Paris, but now very glad to be back home with my little family. More on Paris to come later, but I forgot to credit this photo which was styled (fun!!) and taken by Geneviève in Paris.

  10. I just love that photo of you, Kaye! It's perfect for your postcard from Paris. And, it turned out beautiful here! But, honestly? Nothing in Paris can compare with that look on Don Barley's face in that photo after you returned to him. Love you, Kaye.

  12. Sorry I'm coming in here so late today, but it seems I've had lots to take care of online today. Kaye, that picture is absolutely breathtaking! That has to be the best thing you've brought back from Paris! I loved sharing the trip with you and Lesa through your posts. You all have sold me on Paris for sure.
