"Oh, Kaye!" Chiming in on "What We're Writing"

I always love it when The Reds have "What We're Writing" week.  It's fun to get those little sneak peeks at pages written by favorite writers whose work you love; even more fun when they're also friends.

A very close friend of The Reds wants to let you all know he's been busy writing also.

His book should be popping up live at Amazon any day now.  Actually, it could be popping up any minute, in both print and electronic formats, so keep an eye out for it, please.

Here's a sneak preview of the cover - -

Harley Barley has written a delightful little tale chock full of photos taken around his house, his yard and trips he's taken with his mom and dad.

And he hopes you enjoy it.

He also wants to give one away.  Leave a comment, please, and Harley will draw a name out of the magic pink Willie Nelson baseball cap for one lucky person to win a copy.  You can choose a paperback or a Kindle version.

Happy Reading, Everyone!

  7. Hi Kaye,

It's up as a Kindle only here on Amazon Canada. Looking good! I don't have a Kindle, so am not in line for the draw. Howsumebaire, Harley's adventures sound fabulous, especially after seeing your wonderful pics all these years. My Cutter is still my favourite Corgi, tho'. ;-)

  21. EEK! I deleted my comment!
    okay starting over . . .
    Hank asked for more. otay.
It's a little 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 photobook (94 pages), with Harley giving narrative throughout. From baby pictures up thru today. Pictures from around the house, the yard and trips we've taken. Harley did not take the pictures, but he chose some of his favorites that Donald and I have taken over the years. The photos also include some friends of Harley's, including Eloise, Sissyfriss Sockmonkey, LouLou Skiptoo, a little deer named Little Deer and a few sheep.

Jack - No signings scheduled yet. Please tell Maddy we will keep her posted!

And by the way. Harley asked me to pass this along. He thinks it would be nice if all you humans would encourage your furbabies to write their own stories. Dogs, cats, AND ducks. He says it is very cathartic.

Kaye, I love dog stories and I would enjoy reading about Harley's adventures. I would love to win a free copy and then share it with my daughter Debbie who has two Jack Russell dogs (my granddogs). In the meantime, I am going to share your link on my homepage.

    And Thank You Grandma Cootie,

    And Patty

And Dear Anonymous, Thank You (the book is now out - check Amazon. I've typed the links in a comment a little earlier).

Virginia - Thank you! (hey to Amanda).

Bill Crider - Yes, yes he is. :-)

Andrea - Talk to those pups, hear?!

Denise Ann - Harley is a Corgi. And yes, he is a HUGE Willie Nelson fan. We went to see him just a couple weeks ago in Greensboro, NC. Harley went with us, but he had to stay at the hotel. For some silly reason, the facility doesn't think dogs should be allowed.

Mason - Hey, you!! And Harley sends a hug in return!

  34. Boo sends his regards. He is a border terrier blend--something with short legs. His owners are too lazy to write his bio and they are concerned about repercussions. Never admit to anything: the border terrier motto. He hopes Harley Barley takes those words to heart.
